My time

My most recent blog was published at the end of March, and I haven’t been able to write anything here since then.😞 This wasn’t planned, but such is life, and we are only human.

I’ve been incredibly busy, both with my daily work and preparing for two cloud certifications and the MLOps zoomcamp. Additionally, I wanted to make the most of this beautiful time in Berlin after the long winter by enjoying sunny days with my family in the garden, going on short trips with our camper, and sewing summer dresses for my little daughter.

Almost every evening, after putting my kids to bed, I would sit in front of my laptop. However, I always felt like there wasn’t enough time to accomplish everything I had planned. I didn’t have the time to delve deep into topics that interest me, which worried me a bit because of my future plans. On one hand, I felt like I was living life to the fullest, but on the other hand, I was concerned that I didn’t have time for reflection. It felt quite overwhelming.

I reassured myself that things would get better from August onwards, as all the deadlines are set in July, just before my summer holiday in August.

I hope that this pushing phase will lead to accomplishing my goals, and I will make a sincere effort to find a better balance between work and life.

Discipline and Self-Management

Every day consists of 24 hours for everyone. Effectively managing your time can make a significant difference in the long run. Setting goals is important, but what’s even more crucial is setting deadlines to reach those goals. For instance, if you aim to obtain an AWS certification, like me, you need to determine how many topics you need to learn and allocate time for each one. Divide your goal into smaller steps that you can complete. Then, register for the exam date. This will increase the probability of successfully completing the journey compared to someone who just starts without a deadline.

Certainly, we often find excuses to discontinue the journey we’ve embarked upon. Overcoming laziness and prioritizing what’s most important in your current phase of life is essential. If you can’t manage it within the set time, don’t be too hard on yourself. Take a pause and continue. Eventually, you will reach your destination. 😀
